Louise Thompson has shared her heartfelt wish for 2026 — revealing she dreams of welcoming another child, five years after a traumatic birth that nearly cost her her life.
The Made In Chelsea star, 35, has been candid about the life-altering complications she suffered following the birth of her son Leo, an experience that left her facing years of serious health challenges and ultimately living with a stoma. Despite everything she has endured, Louise says she is finally allowing herself to look forward with hope.
Taking to social media, Louise reflected on the year ahead, writing:
“Next year is going to be full of health, growth and prosperity. I’m ready for newness — and if we are lucky, family expansion.”

She also teased an upcoming Substack post titled “All I Want for 2026 Is a Baby,” where she is expected to open up further about her journey, her fears, and her hopes for the future.
Following Leo’s birth, Louise experienced a series of severe complications that required emergency treatment and surgery, dramatically altering her life and her relationship with motherhood. She has since spoken openly about the emotional toll of the experience, including living with post-traumatic stress, and has been praised for her honesty and vulnerability.
Now, Louise is using her platform to advocate for better maternity care and women’s health support. She has become a powerful voice for mothers affected by birth trauma, speaking out about how fear and lack of reassurance are discouraging many women from having children.
“Thousands of women are crying out to me about this,” she previously explained. “There is a real fear around childbirth that isn’t being properly addressed.”
While Louise has shared that she will not be able to carry another child herself, she and her partner remain hopeful about expanding their family in other ways — a subject she has said is deeply personal and still evolving.
Beyond her personal journey, Louise has taken her advocacy to Parliament. Working alongside former MP Theo Clarke, she helped establish the Birth Trauma All-Party Parliamentary Group and is now campaigning for the Government to appoint a dedicated maternity commissioner. The petition aims to reach 100,000 signatures to trigger a parliamentary debate.
After years defined by survival and recovery, Louise’s message for 2026 is one of optimism — focused on healing, growth, and the possibility of new beginnings.
