As millions of viewers prepare for the Super Bowl spectacle, a very different kind of halftime show is quietly lining up to air at the exact same moment—outside the NFL, outside the usual playbook, and certain to spark conversation.
On February 8, while the official Super Bowl LX Halftime Show features Bad Bunny, conservative organization Turning Point USA will debut its own counter-programming event: the All-American Halftime Show, headlined by Kid Rock and supported by major country music stars. The event will stream simultaneously across YouTube, X, Rumble, and a slate of conservative television networks, positioning itself as a parallel alternative rather than a direct competitor—though the timing makes the message hard to miss.
What Is the All-American Halftime Show?
Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show is designed as a “family-friendly, values-driven” alternative to the NFL’s official production. According to the organization, the event celebrates faith, family, and freedom, offering what it describes as uplifting and patriotic entertainment for viewers seeking something different during halftime.
The concept was first announced in October 2025, shortly after Bad Bunny was revealed as the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performer—a decision that drew criticism from conservative figures and commentators.
Why Turning Point USA Created a Counter-Show
The decision to host an alternative halftime event came amid political and cultural backlash surrounding the official Super Bowl lineup. Bad Bunny, a Grammy-winning Puerto Rican artist who performs primarily in Spanish, has been outspoken against the Trump administration’s immigration policies and declined to include U.S. stops on his recent tour in protest of ICE operations.
Green Day, who are involved in Super Bowl festivities, have also made public statements critical of Trump, including altering lyrics during live performances to reject the “MAGA agenda.”
Following these announcements, Turning Point USA confirmed it would move forward with its own programming.
“We wanted to provide an entertainment option that’s fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions of Americans are gathered together for the big game,” said Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet. “These performers will deliver exactly that.”
Who’s Performing?
The All-American Halftime Show will be headlined by Kid Rock, a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump and a frequent presence at conservative political events.
Joining him onstage are several well-known country artists:
-
Lee Brice
-
Brantley Gilbert
-
Gabby Barrett
The lineup reflects the event’s emphasis on mainstream country music and Americana themes, contrasting sharply with the global pop and reggaeton style of the NFL’s official halftime show.
When and Where to Watch
The All-American Halftime Show is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:00 p.m. ET, aligning with the timing of the Super Bowl halftime break. Pre-show coverage will start at 7:30 p.m. ET.

A Cultural Counterpoint, Not Just a Concert
While Turning Point USA has not explicitly framed the event as a protest, the symbolism is clear. By launching a parallel halftime experience at the same moment as the NFL’s global showcase, the organization is offering viewers a cultural alternative—one rooted in traditional values and familiar musical genres.
Whether seen as counter-programming, commentary, or simply another entertainment option, the All-American Halftime Show is poised to become one of the most talked-about side stories of Super Bowl LX.
This year, halftime won’t be one-size-fits-all. And for many viewers, the choice of what to watch may say as much as the game itself.
