Strictly’s Tasha Ghouri Opens Up About a “Mentally Tough” 2025 — and Why She’s Finally Happier Than Ever

For Tasha Ghouri, 2025 was a year that tested her strength in ways she never expected. The Strictly Come Dancing star has now spoken candidly about the emotional toll of “horrific trolling,” revealing how online abuse pushed her to some of her darkest moments — before leading her toward healing, happiness, and new love.

Sharing a heartfelt montage on Instagram, the 27-year-old reflected on the highs and lows of the past year. The video captured glamorous red-carpet moments, laughter-filled nights with friends, and tender, loved-up clips with her new boyfriend, BBC presenter Cam Whitnall. But behind the smiles, Tasha admitted the journey hadn’t been easy.

“2025 was tough mentally,” she wrote honestly. “I had to dig myself out of deep places after very horrific trolling. But in the end of it all, I found true happiness.” Her words struck a chord with fans who have followed her journey both on and off screen.

Tasha explained that the cruelty she faced online had a devastating impact on her mental health, at times leaving her too anxious to even leave her bedroom. While she chose not to go into detail, she made it clear the experience had changed her — and strengthened her resolve. “Never again am I letting anyone tear me apart to the point I lose myself and my love for what I do,” she declared.

As she looks ahead, Tasha says she’s entering 2026 with renewed strength and clarity. “I’m going into this year with a whole heart, more strength, and new purpose,” she shared. “I’m leaving all that negativity behind and moving forward with a smile.” She also thanked the supporters who stood by her when she needed it most, teasing that “this year is going to be big.”

The past year also brought major changes in her personal life. In January, Tasha split from Love Island partner Andrew Le Page, whom she met on the show in 2022. The breakup quickly became painful and public, with Tasha later revealing that she faced intense trolling from people who blamed her for the relationship’s collapse.

But amid the hardship, something beautiful emerged. In May, Tasha quietly began a new relationship with Cam Whitnall, a BBC presenter and wildlife conservationist. The pair were first spotted together at a Strictly live show, and their connection soon blossomed away from the spotlight

Friends say the couple bonded over their shared love of animals and nature — something close to Tasha’s heart after rescuing her dog, Luna. Cam, whose family runs Hertfordshire Zoo, also works closely with The Big Cat Sanctuary, a charity dedicated to protecting endangered species.

Now, surrounded by love, support, and a renewed sense of self, Tasha is embracing a fresh chapter. Her story is no longer about the noise of trolls — it’s about resilience, growth, and rediscovering joy.

And as she steps into 2026, one thing is clear: Tasha Ghouri isn’t just surviving anymore — she’s thriving. 💛✨
