Giovanni Pernice stepped into 2026 in style — and in love — as he rang in the New Year alongside girlfriend Bianca Guaccero during a luxury stay at London’s iconic Ritz Hotel.
The professional dancer, 35, who confirmed his relationship with Italian actress and TV host Bianca in late 2024, looked relaxed and confident as the couple were spotted leaving the five-star hotel on Saturday. Giovanni cut a sleek figure in a Prada winter coat, paired with black jeans, leather boots, and dark sunglasses.
Bianca matched his polished look with a glamorous winter ensemble of her own, wearing a padded Prada coat, black flared trousers, leather gloves, and oversized designer bags from Prada and Gucci.
The couple’s romance first blossomed on the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing, Ballando con le Stelle, where they danced their way to victory. During the show, Giovanni openly praised Bianca, saying she was “exactly what he needed” during a difficult chapter in his life.
That chapter followed allegations made by former Strictly partner Amanda Abbington, which Giovanni has consistently denied. While a BBC investigation later ruled out claims of physical aggression or threatening behaviour, it did uphold complaints of verbal bullying, leading the BBC to issue an apology. Giovanni has since said he was relieved the report found no evidence of abusive conduct.

Speaking candidly after the investigation, Giovanni admitted the period was deeply painful, revealing that he felt his “world collapsed” when friends distanced themselves. Bianca, he said, became a source of stability and strength.
“She came into my life during not the greatest time,” Giovanni told Heat magazine. “I needed some security — and she was very supportive.”
Despite busy schedules and time spent in different countries — Bianca based in Italy and Giovanni touring the UK for seven months — the pair have made sacrifices to keep their relationship strong.
Although Giovanni will not be returning to Strictly Come Dancing following the investigation, his career continues to thrive. Now dancing on the Italian version of the show, he is also set to tour later this year with close friend and fellow dancer Anton Du Beke.
As the new year begins, Giovanni appears focused on moving forward — with Bianca by his side.
