The Voice Season 30 Reveals Full Coach Lineup as Queen Latifah Joins Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Riley Green

The Voice is shaking things up for its milestone 30th season with the addition of a major new coach.

Grammy-winning actress and rapper Queen Latifah has officially joined the hit NBC singing competition, completing the Season 30 coaching lineup alongside returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, as well as country star Riley Green, who will make his debut as a coach.

NBC announced the exciting news on Tuesday, confirming that Queen Latifah will take one of the iconic red chairs for the very first time. While she’s no stranger to reality competition shows — previously appearing as a guest judge on America’s Got Talent — this marks her first official coaching role on The Voice.

Season 30 is set to premiere this fall and promises plenty of surprises, including appearances from former coaches and mentors.

The new panel also signals a major shift for the show’s country music presence. Riley Green steps into a role previously held by longtime country favorites Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, and Kelsea Ballerini.

Kelly Clarkson seemed thrilled about the lineup change, sharing her excitement for Riley’s debut in a playful Instagram video.

“I was stoked when I heard you were gonna be a coach because I’m a superfan of your music,” Kelly told Riley. “But needless to say, fan and all, it’s a competition… Team Kelly’s going to whoop that a**,” she joked.

Kelly heads into the new season as one of the show’s strongest competitors, currently holding the record for the most wins by a female coach. She’s also expected to devote more time to The Voice as she prepares to step away from The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Meanwhile, Adam Levine returns after recently coaching Season 29 alongside Kelly Clarkson and John Legend. The Maroon 5 frontman has earned four wins during his time on the series.

Although many fans are excited about the fresh lineup, reports suggest NBC originally hoped to bring back former coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani for the milestone season.

Blake famously exited The Voice in 2023 after serving as a coach for 23 seasons. He first met Gwen Stefani while both were coaching Season 7 in 2014, and the couple later became one of the franchise’s most talked-about success stories.

With Queen Latifah and Riley Green joining the mix, Season 30 is already shaping up to be one of the show’s most talked-about seasons yet.
