“I Won’t Be Silenced…”: Love Island’s Chyna Mills Rekindles Family Feud Amid Fresh Claims of Racism

Love Island star Chyna Mills has reignited her long-running feud with the family of her fiancé, Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones, after repeating serious allegations of racism and emotional mistreatment — sparking renewed backlash online.

The 27-year-old influencer first made the claims just before Christmas, accusing members of Neil’s family of deeply hurtful behaviour. Now, weeks later, she appears to have taken another subtle swipe, suggesting tensions remain unresolved.

Chyna shared a series of festive photos on Instagram showing herself, Neil, and their daughter Havana enjoying country walks and coastal escapes over the holiday period. Alongside the images, she wrote: “Wholesome way to bring in the new year surrounded by people we love.”

While she did not mention Neil’s mother by name, many followers interpreted the caption as a pointed remark, particularly given the ongoing family dispute.

How the Feud Began

The disagreement is understood to have begun following Havana’s baptism, which Chyna previously claimed Neil’s family chose not to attend. At the time, she alleged that the absence was deliberate and deeply upsetting.

In a lengthy social media statement last month, Chyna accused Neil’s mother, Helen, of years of mistreatment, writing:
“I’ve faced bullying, racism, and constant disrespect from a so-called MIL since the moment I met her.”

She went on to say that despite repeated efforts to build bridges, her attempts were ignored. According to Chyna, the baptism — a milestone she described as one of the most meaningful moments in her daughter’s life — was overshadowed by family divisions.

“Havana’s baptism was a special day, and his family chose not to attend out of loyalty to her,” she wrote, adding that she would not tolerate what she described as “false narratives” surrounding her child.

Family Responds

The allegations prompted a swift response from Neil’s sister, Terri Peters, who publicly denied Chyna’s claims and branded them “lies.” Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said:
“If she wants to spin lies, the truth will come out eventually.”

Chyna later appeared to reinforce her position when she shared photos from the baptism, thanking her own family, friends, and Havana’s godparents — notably omitting any reference to Neil’s relatives.

“Such a special day surrounded by the people who love her most,” she wrote. “Our hearts are so full.”

A Relationship Under the Spotlight

Despite the family tensions, Chyna and Neil’s relationship has continued to move forward. The couple announced their engagement and pregnancy in 2023 after Neil proposed during a romantic trip to Bali.

Reflecting on the moment, Neil previously told HELLO! magazine:
“I’d already planned to ask Chyna to marry me before we knew she was pregnant. Then everything just fell into place.”

As public debate continues around Chyna’s claims, she remains adamant about one priority above all else — her daughter’s wellbeing.

“All that matters is Havana being surrounded by love,” she wrote. “Her happiness comes first. Always.”

For now, the situation remains unresolved, with both sides standing firmly by their version of events — and the spotlight showing no sign of dimming.
