After more than 50 years of igniting stages around the world, Bruce Springsteen is putting all the rumors to rest — and he’s doing it with fire in his voice.
In a thunderous new interview with Rolling Stone, The Boss made one thing crystal clear:
“No farewell tour. We ain’t quitting!”
Currently in the middle of a high-voltage stadium tour across Europe, Springsteen is showing no signs of slowing down. From Manchester to Marseille, Frankfurt to Prague, he’s been lighting up cities and thrilling crowds like it’s still 1975. And with stops still to come in San Sebastian, Gelsenkirchen, and Milan, fans are getting a front-row seat to living rock history.
But after this summer run, don’t expect a teary-eyed goodbye or a “last dance.” Bruce says he’s just getting started.
“The Stones Are a Great Inspiration Right Now”
Springsteen cited his rock & roll peers as a reason he’s still charging forward.
“The Stones are a great inspiration right now. I think they’re playing better than they’ve ever played. So is Paul McCartney. Bob Dylan is out there too. These guys are a little ahead of me—and they’re proving it’s not time to sleep yet.”
He also paid tribute to Pete Seeger, who performed into his 90s:
“Pete had a lot of energy. When his voice began to go, he just found another way. People came to experience his spirit. That’s what lives on.”
Springsteen added that icons like Willie Nelson and other “fathers of rock” who played into their eighties continue to serve as role models for what’s possible on stage, even after decades in the game.
“We Ain’t Doing No Farewell Tour Bullsh*t!”
If anyone still had doubts, Bruce squashed them last year during a show in Philadelphia with a trademark, no-holds-barred declaration:
“We’ve been around for 50 fin’ years, and we ain’t quitting! We ain’t doing no farewell tour bullsht! Jesus Christ!”**
Tracks II: The Lost Albums Drops June 27
While Springsteen is melting faces on tour, he’s also digging deep into his vaults. His upcoming box set, Tracks II: The Lost Albums, releases June 27 and features seven complete, previously unreleased albums recorded between 1983 and 2018. For diehard fans, it’s a treasure trove of lost chapters in The Boss’s legendary story.
Still Running Down the Dream
At 74, Bruce Springsteen isn’t just refusing to bow out—he’s charging full speed into the next era of his career. With his passion still burning and his voice echoing across stadiums, The Boss proves that real rock & roll doesn’t retire—it evolves, it survives, and it roars.
No farewell tour. Just more miles to go.
