“I Can’t Go Half an Hour Without Being Abused”: Kirstie Allsopp Fires Back at Trolls in Fiery X Rant

Kirstie Allsopp has never been one to mince her words — and this week, the Location, Location, Location star proved it once again with her most unfiltered clapback yet.

The property expert, 54, hit out at online trolls after sharing an opinion on X and being met with a torrent of personal abuse. What followed was a blunt, brutally honest response that quickly gained attention for its raw tone and unmistakable frustration.

Kirstie began by admitting she is close to giving up on the platform altogether.
“I am very reluctantly coming to the conclusion that this is the most unpleasant platform I can be standing on,” she wrote.
Comparing the experience to public transport chaos, she added:
“X has become far more uncomfortable and unpleasant than a Tube station with a drunk passenger shouting abuse — and a lot more deluded.”

One user responded sarcastically, suggesting Kirstie must be struggling because she wasn’t used to criticism. That remark triggered her sharpest response yet.

“I’m on X, Gary,” she fired back. “I can’t go half an hour without being told I’m fat, thick, right-wing, left-wing, have no empathy, live in an ivory tower, am a st parent, know nothing about anything — or am just a ct.”

The candid post struck a chord with followers, many of whom praised her honesty. One amused user joked that the rant sounded wine-fuelled, to which Kirstie replied with trademark dry humour, explaining she doesn’t drink due to a histamine intolerance — adding, “There’s a niche reply for you.”

Elsewhere, the TV presenter engaged thoughtfully with a supporter who praised her work but questioned whether she gave enough recognition to people living in poorer parts of London. Kirstie pushed back firmly but fairly, saying she was “outraged” by the state of some areas and the mismanagement behind it — while also rejecting simplistic narratives.

“I just don’t think anything is gained by public figures saying ‘London is a s**t hole’,” she explained. “It’s far more complicated than that.”

As the year drew to a close, Kirstie struck a more reflective note. She admitted she was relieved to see the back of 2025 for personal reasons, while also acknowledging it as a meaningful year — the year she married her long-term partner, Ben Andersen.

“If this has been a good year for you, I’m really glad,” she told followers. “May God bless you and bring you peace and happiness in 2026.”

Kirstie quietly married Ben in January 2025 after more than 20 years together, choosing an intimate and elegant ceremony in Mayfair. The location held deep personal significance, having previously hosted a memorial service for her late father.

The couple share two sons, Bay and Oscar, and Kirstie is also stepmother to Ben’s two children from a previous marriage.

After 25 years fronting Location, Location, Location alongside Phil Spencer, Kirstie has built a career helping people find their dream homes — but her latest comments show the cost of being outspoken in the digital age.

Unapologetic, witty, and weary of abuse, Kirstie’s message was clear: she won’t be silenced — and she won’t pretend the hostility doesn’t exist.
