“American Idol” Finale 2026: Full Lineup, Guest Performers & Everything Fans Can Expect

The biggest night of the season has finally arrived, and the Season 24 finale of American Idol is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded events in recent years. With emotional reunions, major celebrity performances, surprise duets, and the crowning of a new champion, fans are preparing for an unforgettable finale night.

After weeks of intense competition, the final three contestants — Hannah Harper, Jordan McCullough, and Keyla Richardson — will battle one last time for America’s vote.  

But the finale isn’t just about the finalists. The show has officially revealed a massive lineup of guest performers and returning Idol favorites, making this one of the most anticipated finales in years.

Country Legends & Music Icons Joining the Finale

According to multiple reports, the finale will feature performances from some huge names across country, rock, pop, and R&B music. Confirmed guest performers include:

The lineup instantly sparked excitement online, especially after fans learned that several legendary country artists and former Idol stars would be returning to the stage.  

Judges Taking the Stage Together

For the first time in a while, all three judges — Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie — are expected to perform together during the finale.

Reports reveal the trio will perform Lionel Richie’s classic “Deep River Woman,” while Luke Bryan will also debut his new song “Fish Hunt Golf Drink.” Carrie Underwood is additionally set to share the stage with Mötley Crüe for a special collaboration performance.  

Fan-Favorite Contestants Returning

The finale will also bring back several contestants eliminated earlier in the competition, giving viewers one final chance to see some of the season’s most beloved performers.

Recently eliminated contestants Braden Rumfelt and Chris Tungseth are expected to appear alongside other returning singers from throughout the season. Fans have especially been vocal online about wanting more screen time for Braden after his emotional exit shocked many viewers.  

A Huge “Idol” Reunion

One of the most emotional moments of the night may come from the special Season 5 reunion celebration. Former contestants including:

  • Taylor Hicks
  • Kellie Pickler
  • Elliott Yamin
  • Paris Bennett
  • Bucky Covington

will reunite as the show celebrates 20 years since one of the franchise’s most iconic seasons.  

Original judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson are also part of the celebration after recently returning as guest mentors.  

The Final Battle for the Crown

At the center of it all is the race to become the next American Idol. Hannah Harper, Jordan McCullough, and Keyla Richardson each enter the finale with massive fan support and momentum.

Hannah has become one of the breakout stars of the season thanks to her emotional storytelling and country roots, while Jordan continues to gain praise for his powerful vocals and consistency. Keyla, meanwhile, has delivered some of the most technically impressive performances of the competition.  

With live voting, emotional performances, surprise collaborations, and one final winner announcement, the Season 24 finale promises a night fans won’t forget anytime soon.
