The 39-year-old country singer joined Season 24 finalist Hannah Harper for a powerful duet of Martina McBride’s “A Broken Wing” during a special reunion episode celebrating the show’s 2006 cast. The performance marked Pickler’s first appearance on the Idol stage in years and quickly became one of the most emotional highlights of the night.
The song choice carried added meaning, as Pickler originally performed “A Broken Wing” during her own American Idol audition two decades ago at just 19 years old.
