She may have been forced to step away from the competition, but La Voix is far from finished with Strictly Come Dancing. The beloved performer has sparked excitement among fans after teasing a possible return to the dance floor, sharing a confident and upbeat health update on social media — along with a warning: “Strictly, you watch out!”
The Britain’s Got Talent and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star competed in the 23rd series of Strictly, where she was partnered with professional dancer Aljaž Škorjanec. Sadly, their journey was cut short in November when La Voix was forced to withdraw due to a painful foot injury, leaving fans disappointed but supportive.
Despite her early exit, it was later confirmed that La Voix and Aljaž would reunite for the Strictly Live Tour, set to kick off in Birmingham later this month. With rehearsals fast approaching, La Voix took to Instagram to update fans on her recovery — and the news couldn’t be more positive.
“Foot update! Strictly you watch out! 🔥🔥❤️” she wrote, sharing a video in which she explained that she had worn an orthopaedic boot throughout the entire pantomime season. “The week after Christmas,” she revealed, “my physio said, ‘I think it’s time to lose the boot. You can start wearing regular trainers and shoes.’ And everything has gone to plan.”
Reflecting on the tougher moments of her recovery, La Voix admitted there were times she feared the injury might never fully heal. “Standing even slightly on tiptoes was so painful, I thought I’d never wear heels again,” she said. Thankfully, things began improving just before Christmas.
Fast forward to now, and the transformation is remarkable. “Today I’m completely pain free,” she shared. “It still feels a bit strange mobility-wise, but I never have to wear this boot again. Hallelujah!” Ever the entertainer, she joked about wanting to burn the boot — rhinestones and all — even offering it to fans as a keepsake.
Best of all, La Voix confirmed she is ready to return to rehearsals next week. “I might be in a two-inch heel,” she laughed, “but I will be dancing in heels with Aljaž. I’m so excited. Thank you for all the messages and support — they meant everything.”
La Voix and Aljaž join a star-studded lineup for the Strictly Live Tour, which includes celebrities such as George Clarke, Lewis Cope, Vicky Pattison, Ellie Goldstein, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, and special guest Layton Williams.
The professional dancers set to take the stage include Vito Coppola, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Nancy Xu, and Nikita Kuzmin, while the judging panel will once again feature Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke.
With her recovery complete and her confidence clearly restored, La Voix’s comeback is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated moments of the tour. Strictly fans — consider yourselves warned.
